What is an HRA?
How will an HRA work with my current healthcare plan?
I have an FSA, how is an HRA different?
What happens when I incur an expense?
What happens if I quit or lose eligibility?

Everywhere you turn, you can find news articles and press releases on the benefits of Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs). Everyone has questions on how an HRA can be implemented and how it can benefit them. This website is designed to answer some of the questions you may have on this new and empowering employee benefit.

An HRA

  • EMPOWERS YOU with additional choices and greater control over expenses.
  • PROVIDES YOU with financial assistance when you incur an eligible medical expense.
  • GIVES YOU the option of selecting the health plan that is right for you.

An HRA

  • DOES NOT limit your access to healthcare.
  • DOES NOT keep you from going to the doctor.
  • DOES NOT cost you anything.

An HRA gives you the power to select the plan that is right for you.

Do you want to . . .

  • HAVE MORE CONTROL over your medical expenses?
  • SELECT A PLAN that fits your need?

  • SAVE MONEY to use in later years?

You can with a properly designed HRA.

The regulations allows your employer considerable flexibility when designing an HRA. You will see this as you read the answers to the other questions. Your employer's decisions will depend on your present benefit package. If your employer offers an HRA, you will receive enrollment materials and a Summary Plan Description explaining how your HRA operates.
